For creators

Is one of your videos in Furi and you'd rather it weren't? Email support@furiapp.com with a link to the video and we'll take it out, usually within 48 hours. No lawyer, no formal paperwork: a link and a short note from the email or channel that owns the video is all we need.

How videos appear in Furi

Furi does not host or re-upload videos. Every video plays through YouTube's official embedded player, stays on YouTube and belongs to whoever made it. On top of it Furi adds its own learning layer (interactive subtitles, readings and translations), generated automatically.

Reporting an infringement

If you believe something in Furi infringes a copyright you own or represent (a video, subtitles or anything else), send a notice to support@furiapp.com with the subject "Copyright notice". So we can act on it quickly, please include:

  • Your name and how to reach you: email, plus a mailing address or phone number
  • The copyrighted work, or a representative list if several works are involved
  • Where it appears in Furi: the YouTube link, or a description or screenshot that lets us find it
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you own the copyright or are authorized to act for the owner
  • Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is fine)

What happens next

We confirm we've received your notice, remove or disable the content once it checks out, and let you know when it's done. If something is missing we'll ask for it rather than ignore the notice. If you think we removed something by mistake, email us and we'll look at it again.

The original on YouTube

Removing a video from Furi does not remove it from YouTube. To have it taken down there as well, use YouTube's own copyright process: support.google.com/youtube/answer/2807622
